The Pinehurst Barbecue Festival’s new organic farm-to-table all-natural pit, Simmons has specialized in pasture-raised pork for the last decade, winning the prestigious North Carolina Small Farmer of the Year honor in 2018. This past year Simmons was featured in Kingsford Charcoal’s national campaign “Preserve the Pit,” which celebrates black barbecue culture dating back 350 years. Master Blend Family Farms supplies whole hogs and various pork products to some of the top restaurants along the East Coast.
