Adam Hughes

Raised on a farm in Eastern North Carolina, Hughes is a third-generation butcher, world champion pitmaster and winner of Food Network’s Chopped: Grill Masters North Carolina, advancing to the TV show’s Grand Finale. He is a five-time North Carolina State Barbecue champion, and has also won state titles in South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Hughes has competed in close to 100 barbecue competitions over the last five years. The 2017 World Ribs Champion returns to the Pinehurst Barbecue Festival after wowing patrons last year with his succulent pork ribs.
