The fifth annual Pinehurst Barbecue Festival is a Celebration of Taste and Tradition, featuring award-winning Pitmaster Christopher Prieto along with many of North Carolina’s celebrated pitmasters in one of the most picturesque settings in the state.
Presented by US Foods, Carolina Co-Packing, Our State Magazine and Pinehurst Resort, the three-day festival - headlined by Prieto - is staged in the Village of Pinehurst, offers a unique culinary experience of various mouthwatering barbecue meats and traditional sides.

Pinehurst’s golf courses have played host to many “Q Schools” over the years, but none quite like this one. Join us at the Pinehurst Brewing Company on Saturday for a crash course in grilling and barbecue.
Bourbon & Bites - August 30
Discover the intricacies of fine whiskey with tasting of bourbons and paired appetizers, located inside the North & South Bar at The Manor on Saturday evening. Must be 21+ to purchase tickets for or attend this event. Each participant will receive a free cigar, compliments of Specialty Cigars.
Barbecue Reimagined - August 30
Presented by Sandhills Community College, Got To Be NC, the NC Department of Agriculture, Barbecue “Reimagined” features culinary and mixology Chef Ambassadors from the North Carolina Chef Showdown who will showcase NC protein, produce and products.
Christopher Prieto Pitmaster Invitational - August 31
On Sunday, join legendary Pitmasters from around North Carolina for a sampling of meats including Whole Hog, Ribs, Brisket and Poultry, served with all of the fixins’. Barbecue vendors will be around the Village of Pinehurst for you to try their sauces and other products.
